FLYING MONKEY SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES COLORINSPECTOR: PAINLESS COLOR
CONVERSION FOR NEXTSTEP
WEST CHESTER, Ohio, December 5, 1994 -- Flying Monkey Software
announces ColorInspector, a Text Service application for NEXTSTEP
which provides translation of color coordinates between NeXT and
PostScript.
Earlier this year, when we were putting together Color Suite 1, our
set of color applications for NEXTSTEP, our old pal Jon Hendry asked
for a color coordinate converter; he'd been doing a bunch of
PostScript generation and was tired of all the division. Lately, we've
run into the same problem, and so picked up the work we'd started at
the end of the summer. ColorInspector is the result.
Basically it's a color well and four text fields. You drag a color in,
it updates the NeXT and PostScript RGB and HSB values in the fields.
You change a value in a field and the color well and other fields are
updated. Dragging the color out of the color well and cutting and
pasting from the text fields is all there, of course. Simple and easy.
And when you stick it in your Apps directory, it becomes a Service.
Select some color coordinates and click in the ColorInspector entries
under the Services menu, and you have in-place color coordinate
conversion. There's also an API for those share-the-code type
developers.
ColorInspector, painless color conversion $7.50
Free electronic upgrades.
Media and shipping cost for diskette upgrades.

Flying Monkey Software provides object, application, graphic design,
and shareware services to the NEXTSTEP community. The monkeys have
been flying software for more than twenty years, and fly on and on.
Our credo is satisfaction guaranteed: all Flying Monkey products will
work - or we'll fix them for free. We'll also extend them for
requesting customers on a contractual basis. Onward Ho!
NEXTSTEP is a registered trademark of NeXT Computer, Inc, and
PostScript of Adobe Systems, Inc. ColorInspector is an application for
NEXTSTEP from Flying Monkey Software. And a lot of cheese comes from
Wisconsin.
